During the early winter of last year, when Donald Trump was still everywhere and only surgeons wore surgical masks, Strangled Darlings planned out a cross country tour. It was a chance to work out some new material and catch up with far flung fans. The album American Pageant had just gotten a couple kudos in the press and folks seemed to be digging the songs. All was rolling along well enough to close out 2019.

Then George’s dad died.
Then covid.
Then pregnancy?!
Then lockdown.

So it was a good time to go stark raving mad or cut a new album. This album dives full force into the emotions of forced change, nostalgia and inner demons.
